You Are Our Priority

Texas Christian Adoptions, LLC is a licensed child-placing agency with over 31 years of experience in adoption. We provide professional guidance in pre- and post-adoptive services for expecting mothers and fathers, birth parents, and adoptive families. Our expectant mothers must find peace in their decisions, so we offer professional counseling services and a support group to help them.

Our first objective is to help expecting mothers determine if placement is in their best interests and that of their children. Second, to place newborns up to three years of age with godly families who desire to adopt a child. Third, for expectant mothers who decide on adoption, we help them through the emotional and legal processes of adoption.

Our goal is to ensure solid placements by guiding our expectant mothers and potential adoptive families in a supportive manner. We assist birth parents in a healthy recovery from normal grief and separation loss issues and educate adoptive families regarding raising an adoptee.

God Is Faithful

We encourage our clients with the knowledge that God is faithful and loves all of His children, both born and unborn. The trials that each of us encounter are opportunities to see God work miracles in our lives.

Melissa Steinmetz, LCSW

Homestudy Specialist

I graduated with my Master’s of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1991. I earned my license that year and have enjoyed the practice of social work with several client groups including geriatrics, emergency department patients and families seeking to adopt. I first worked with Andrea Damone-Brown in 2003. I am honored to be working with Andrea again and especially to have an opportunity to support the mission of Texas Christian Adoptions, LLC.

Joy White, LCSW

Birthparent Support Counselor

My adoption journey started in 2003 when I found out I was pregnant with my daughter. I knew early on I wanted to place her for adoption. I was 22 years old, in college, not with the father, and raised in a conservative home. Ultimately, I wanted the best for her and didn’t see that I had the ability to give her the best at that time of my life. God had the perfect couple to be her parents and He invited them to be present with me during my pregnancy. It was my chance to acquire a relationship and a base of trust with the adoptive parents. We truly forged a life-long bond that benefits my birth daughter. I am so blessed.

After her birth, it took me about ten years to work my way back around to my calling; The Birthmom Journey. I attended the University of Texas, Arlington to receive my Masters in Social Work, with a focus on Children and Families. In May of 2019, I received my social work license. This is my passion. I desire to help other Birthmothers with first-hand knowledge of how it feels to be in their shoes. I am prepared to let them know they are not alone and I am here for them. God works in beautiful ways by turning hard situations into beautiful journeys of joy.
